At the edge of the sky. The north-west slope of the Gran Sasso: between 'development' and consumption

Documentary exhibition on the landscape and architectural heritage of the north-western area of Gran Sasso d'Italia, conceived as part of the XIII National Day of Architecture Archives 2023. Through unpublished documentary material, taken from the BAAAS Superintendency funds - Natural Beauties Series and Archive of he engineer Giuseppe Chiarizia (1857-1938), intends to focus attention on the transformations, carried out and not, which have affected the area of the municipality of Campotosto (1430 m asl). A significant case of the policies (and their absence) of the last seventy years of management of a 'border' area, documented by a wealth of projects that give a vivid and severe testimony.
