This public initiative is organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Regional Ethics Committee, which took place with LR 20/2002 "Regulations against vivisection" and intends to deepen the evolution of the subject and the socio-cultural context relating to experimentation for scientific purposes. This through a brief analysis of the actions promoted, starting from the training activities up to the support for research on alternative methods. The initiative also leaves room for a reflection at national level on the state of the art of experimentation, to deepen future directions and perspectives, in the light of new methodologies and approaches involving scientific society.
